My Obstacles

Greeting Everyone! It’s been a long time since I sent out an update.

This year has taken a few unexpected turns.

Around May, I was considering my options and decided to start pursuing a career position with the IMB rather than a self-supported position. While this would provide funding, it also has a higher requirement for me. But looking at it, things are not insurmountable but it will still be a challenge for me. Here are the three primary challenges that I face.

1: Education - I need to take 12 graduate level seminary classes before I can take a Long term position.

I have applied and been accepted into Gateway Seminary, which has a 12, 20, and 30 credit IMB Qualification Certificate. In the fall I am planning on taking the first 12 credits to get the basic requirements out of the way. After that, I will see how my IMB application is going then pursue the next 8 credits in the following semesters.

2: Debts - I still have my student loan debts to pay off and I am currently above the debt threshold. I currently have $21,200 of debt left to pay off.

But the two options for getting within that debt threshold, pay off and reduce the monthly payments until they are under the threshold or raise support to cover a portion of those payments and bring it under the threshold.

3: Evangelism - I need evangelism experience, or more specifically I need to have personally led someone to Christ. I have some ideas on evangelism events that can be done and I would like to be able to get a group of people to join me to go out and do evangelism.

1: Pray - Please pray for me as I work towards this goal, and climb these obstacles along the way.

2: Give - You can help support me financially, For Seminary, the estimate my tuition for this semester will be about $4,000. I’ve applied for financial aid, so that number might go down, but there will probably still be some cost. You can help by giving at the link below. Any additional gifts will go to paying off my student load debt.
