How do you write "Dog Treat" in Japanese?

Greetings from Kobe!

This will be a short post today.

I am starting to get into the rhythm of things and growing more accustomed to my tasks here and daily life in Japan. Things are starting to become more routine, so I will try to look for some sort of interesting updates going forward.

I did go “shopping” Monday, which looked more like me wandering around a mall for an hour, but there were a few things that came to mind. 1: It was humbling to be walking through a bookstore and realize that I am almost entirely illiterate, an encouragement to study and learn Japanese. 2: There was an import food store in the mall, so I could get some comfort foods, like Mountain Dew, in Japan... at greatly inflated prices. 3: Just like malls in America, I could not find a single store that sold HDMI cables. It could simply be that the illiterate foreigner, too distracted by Mountain Dew, could not read the “Electronics Store” sign. Oh well, I will try again soon. Which has me concerned when I go to the grocery store, especially when I saw this in America (this was taken months ago in Tucson)

One of these things is not like the others.

We could use some specific prayer. Pastor Taniguchi and I have been coughing on and off all day. I've also got a bit of a scratchy throat and a runny nose. It seems like it is a minor head cold, but I'd rather not be out sick for a few days unless it is necessary. Please pray for a quick recovery, especially since we go to the preschool on Friday.

God Bless,
Carl
